The Health Equity Coordinator’s primary responsibilities will include providing leadership in the review and development of public health policy that will advance efforts to improve population health outcomes linked to underlying determinants, including unequal economic and social conditions, especially related to race/ethnicity, disability status, and/or urban or rural environments.
Dr. Beaulieu added, “My entire career has been focused on helping and serving vulnerable, underserved, and diverse populations. The Town of Manchester is clearly committed to ensuring every aspect of health care is equitable, available, and accessed by all community members. I am thrilled to be a part of this new initiative and look forward to building partnerships with the Town of Manchester and community stakeholders in order to ensure equitable health care services are available to the entire community.”

Town of Manchester Orange Alert (Phase 3)

As of October 29th, the Town of Manchester’s average daily rate of new cases of COVID-19 is 10.9, placing the town in the “orange alert” category. In terms of average daily new cases over the past two weeks, Manchester ranks 70th of the 169 cities and towns in Connecticut.
Governor Lamont issued an Executive Order NO. 9J on October 29th allowing Towns in the “red alert” or “orange alert” categories the ability to scale back reopening business and sector guidelines from Phase 3 to Phase 2.
